ABOUT Llamas:
Llamas are South American cousins of camels, with both migratory and sedentary populations found across theirrange. A single male defends a group of females and their offspring from other males. Llamas graze on grass, and, like cows, regurgitate their food to chew it like cud before swallowing it to digest. They need very little water and are well adapted to their mountainous terrain.
